Questions, answered
Do my clients need to create an account?
No. Every request has a private link. Clients open it, see the checklist and upload — from a phone, tablet or desktop. They can come back to the same link until everything is in.
How do reminders work?
When you send a request you choose a cadence (every day, every 3 days, weekly…). submit.ly emails the client about only the documents still outstanding, and stops automatically once the request is complete. You can also send a one-off reminder at any time.
What happens when a client uploads the wrong document?
Reject it with a short note. The client receives an email explaining what's needed and the item goes back to “needed” on their portal — the rest of the checklist stays as it was.
Where are files stored, and are they secure?
Files are stored encrypted in Cloudflare R2 and only ever served through private, authenticated links from your workspace or the client's own portal. You can delete a file, a request or a whole client at any time.
Can my colleagues use it too?
Yes — on the Pro plan you can invite your whole team to the firm's workspace. Everyone shares the same clients, templates and requests.
